To Mildred's family:
You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of grieving. Mildred (and Tom) was always a friendly face to see in church. I enjoyed talking to her on Sundays. Even after I moved away from home, my grandma (Carol Smith) would tell me she would ask about me and how I was doing. I always made a point to say hello when I was home for a visit. Please take comfort that she is reunited with Tom. Again you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry that your mother and grandmother has passed. She was a sweet lady. I remember her request at the last Johnson reunion; that if something happens to her that we keep the reunion going. We'll have to do that. Dad & I plan to come up for the funeral, so will see you then. We will miss her! |

She was more of a sister to my dad than his own sister. I'm sure they are all together now and having a good time catching up.

Mildred and Tom were probably my closest 'cousins'. I last saw Mildred at the Birkhofer reunion in Moscow, August 2009. I always felt she was a 'Birkhofer' at heart. The Birkhofer's will miss her. Best wishes to the Grings family. |

We were very sorry to hear about Mildred. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was alway a joy to be around. I spent many nights back in my younger days at her home. We always had a good time. May she now rest in peace until we all meet again. |
