Nathan P. Meeker Friday, August 24, 2001 - Friday, January 22, 2010

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 4-7 P.M. at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant, IA. Additional visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the Church. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, IA. The officiant will be Pastor Gaylor Nelson. Musical selections will be provided by organist Sue Voss and vocalist Henry Bentley. Serving as casket bearers will be his Uncles: Michael Schuett, Clayton Schuett, Daniel Schuett and Jerry Podaril. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Nathan's Aunts and Cousins. Interment will take place at the Durant Cemetery, Durant , IA. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Nathan Meeker memorial fund in his memory.

Nathan P. Meeker age 8, of Durant, IA, a resident of Hills and Dales Residential Center, Dubuque, IA died on Friday, January 22, 2010 at University Hospitals in Iowa City, IA. Nathan was born August 24, 2001 to Patrick and Lisa (Schuett) Meeker in Davenport, IA. Nathan was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Durant. He enjoyed listening to music and hanging out with his friends and family.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his parents Patrick and Lisa Meeker of Durant, IA, his sisters: Kayla and Laura Meeker both of Durant, his grandparents: David and Marcia Schuett of Durant and Gary and Merna Meeker of Davenport, his great grandmothers Luetta Koberg of Davenport and Alene Brill of Mount Pleasant, IA and his great grandfather Wayne Meeker of Ottumwa, IA.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents: Harold and Eleanor Schuett, Clarence Koberg, Juanita Meeker and Dr. A.L. Brill.
