Maynard Jakeman Thursday, May 17, 1923 - Sunday, January 24, 2010

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 from 4-7 P.M. at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, IA. Services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010, at 10:30 A.M. at the Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, IA. The officiant will be Bishop John Teed. Musical selections will be provided by pianist Shane Hale and accordianists: Richard Pahl and Ray Arp. Serving as casket bearers will be Mike Lawrence, Ray Arp, Clint Hampton, Paul Stamler Jr., Richard Pahl and David Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Hale, Coleton Hampton, Chaisen Hampton and Ray Schroeder. Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, IA.

Maynard R. Jakeman, age 86, of Wilton, IA, died on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Carrington Place in Muscatine, IA. Maynard was born May 17, 1923 to Harry and Lavonya "Ora" (Dipple) Jakeman in Wilton, IA. He graduated from Wilton High School. Maynard farmed his entire life in Muscatine County, for the last several years with the help of his cousin, Clint Hampton. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Muscatine Ward. He enjoyed working on David-Bradley farming implements. He raised White Park Cattle and Hereford hogs.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
