Thomas L. Barclay Saturday, September 09, 1950 - Saturday, January 30, 2010

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 5-7 P.M. at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, IA. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. at the Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton. The officiant will be Pastor Tim Leathers. Serving as casket bearers will be Brian Barclay, Cory Barclay, Randy Barclay, David Barclay, Mike Hannes and Aaron Powers. A memorial has been established in his memory.

Thomas L. Barclay, age 59, of Wilton, IA, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Mercy Hospice in Iowa City, IA. Tom was born September 9, 1950 to Virgil and Margaret (Slach) Barclay in Muscatine, IA. He graduated from Bennett High School in 1968 and from Scott Community College in 1970 with a degree in drafting. Tom owned and operated Barclay's Bait Shop in Wilton for 24 years. Previously, he farmed with his father and brothers and sold Moormans feed. He was a member of Wahkonsa Country Club for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, fishing and watching movies.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter Amee Barclay of Wilton, his mother Margaret Barclay of Wilton and his brothers: Wayne Barclay of Atalissa and James and his wife Sandy Barclay of Osage Beach, MO and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and his son Jamie Lee Barclay.
